Don't Ignore Your Instncts

Trust is a fragile thing. Once earned, it affords us tremendous freedom. But once trust is lost, it can be impossible to recover. Of course the truth is, we never know who we can trust. Those we’re closest to can betray us, and total strangers can come to our rescue. In the end, most people decide to trust only themselves. It really is the simplest way to keep from getting hurt.

But what if you realize you can't even trust yourself?  Things you believed to be true, aren't. You find out that people you trusted implicitly have lied to you? How do you turn off your instincts when they are screaming at you that something's not right?  I'll have to get back to you on that one.

  1. You are right. Trust is fragile...it is precious also. It takes a long time to restore but it CAN be restored (if you want it to be). And...just because one person is not trust worthy doesn't mean that NOBODY is. It's just hard to decide who is and who isn't...am I right?

I totally get you about trusting your own instinct. Sometimes the warning signs are going off but, as for me, I am either not in tune enough to catch on or am in denial. I wish there was an easier way. Sigh...

I do KNOW one thing, however. You have a Father in Heaven that loves you very much and is COMPLETELY aware of you and what you are dealing with. HE is someone you can ALWAYS trust. ALWAYS! And by putting your trust in Him, you can find assurance and peace that things will work out for your good...no matter the situation. That I KNOW!

Good Luck! Our prayers are continually with you. :)

Better days are around the corner.
